I was a little peeved when my dogs destroyed their dog bed, annoyed when they dug up my yard, and flustered when they chewed up a bunch of my stuff. But none of it prepared me for the truly horrifying scene I discovered yesterday:
That’s my copy of Maureen Johnson’s 13 Little Blue Envelopes, which was at the top of my TBR pile. Now destroyed, thanks to this little devil:
Sure, Gabby looks cute and innocent, with that toy as big as she is… until you turn around for a minute and she has used her piranha teeth to shred any paper in sight… with maybe a little help from her buddies Ella and Nicki.
We thought we could fend off her teething with more toys and things to chew on. But instead, Gabby just brings them to the living room and makes a shrine to brightly colored, stuffed critters.
I can live with the dogs chewing up my house and my yard, but the destruction of books is where I draw the line! Bad dogs!
